Vincent Gründler |
| With
an international background from my family and having worked and lived
in in various countries, Vincent sees himself as a ‘global citizen’.
His main interests are in the area of social mobilization, campaigning
and capacity building for making poverty history. In the past decade he
has coordinated campaigns, capacity building and competence development
programs as consultant, tutor, coach, trainer and facilitator. Vincent has worked in development cooperation since 1984, first for different international NGOs working on participatory approaches for poverty reduction, political campaigns, fundraising and creating youth movements and in the last decade as senior project manager for InWEnt – Capacity Building International, Germany. In 2003 he founded his own international consulting firm, One World Consultants, a network of approx. 20 trainers, tutors, facilitators in Latin America, Africa and Asia, and joined PICOTEAM in 2005. Since 2001 Vincent uses e-learning methods for capacity building programs and has designed and implemented blended learning courses and internet based expert learning portals and workspaces for institutions and expert networks in South-East Europe and Latin America. Most recently he co-designed the expert portals “Network for Regional Development & Market Integration”, the “Portal Amazonia” and the portal for “Natural Resources Management in Africa”. He has been involved in curriculum development and training implementation for expert communities of practice, for facilitators and trainers in the area of integrated natural resource management, training-of-trainers, impact monitoring and evaluation, poverty reduction strategies and international development politics. For NGOs and governmental agencies he has organized and designed international policy dialogue conferences and workshops and is currently involved in the application of EU grants for programmes of NGO coalitions. His current interest is in the design and facilitation of competence development programs for enhancing local government performance/decentralization processes, facilitation and/or systemic coaching in change processes in teams/organisations and evaluation of development programs and projects. Vincent owns methodological competencies in leadership and management, personal and organizational development and process facilitation in an intercultural context. His specific regional experience is in South and South-East Asia (Bangladesh, India, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam), Latin America (Argentina, Colombia, Peru) and East Africa (Ethiopia, Malawi, Tanzania). Vincent holds a BSc in Geography and MSc in Political Science from the University of Bonn, Germany and has taken specialized training in process facilitation, intercultural management and communication, personal development, systemic coaching, organisational and human resource development and project management. | |
